Notes:   We were attracted to a large Nyala tree Xanthocercis zambesiaca by the agitated chattering of a Black-backed Puffback. On investigation we found this female Boomslang low down in the tree. The bird was astonishingly bold in its mobbing of the snake, as I am sure the snake could have posed a very real danger to it.
