Notes:   The waters of Lake Zibadianja had just started discharging into the Savuti River after a period of 28 years. Lake Zibadianja was increasing daily, and each morning we went out we had to negotiate a new shoreline. Fish were moving into what had previously been grassland, and the advancing water was driving insects, grubs and worms out of their burrows. A huge number and variety of birds, from Fish Eagles to Black Herons to Ruffs and Yellow-billed Ducks had gathered on the wet ground to take advantage of this.
