Notes:   The mother leopard is well-known at Singita and has tried to raise at least three litters, of which no more than a couple of cubs survived to adulthood. Some were known to have been killed by baboons, so we viewed with some alarm a large troop of baboons passing by the rocks where the cubs had been playing a short time previously. We figuratively held our breath until, to our great relief, the cubs pitched up that evening.
