Notes:   The Thamalakane River is ephemeral - if sufficient water moves SE through the Delta, it reaches the Thamalakane, and in good years may reach as far as Lake Ngami and into the Boteti River. A pair of hippo took advantage of the high water level at this time to move into the river.
