Comment:   Myomyscus verreauxii (Verraux's or White-footed Meadow Mouse). Looking at this individual, the dark blackish guard hairs in the dorsal and rump area, combined with the dark basal section of the hairs to buff-brown tips, makes me think this is M. verreauxii. Unfortunately cannot see the feet, and would have liked to see how long the tail is.
