Notes:   This pair of lionesses was investigating a new and exclusive residential development within the Phinda Resource Reserve. Some houses were complete, others still building. Just 100m up the slope behind us workmen were working on a house in the early stages of construction. This furry pair wandered about as if they owned the place, finally settling on a tiny piece of garden from where they stared into the lounge window of a handsome dwelling - whether looking for lunch or admiring their reflections was unclear. These two will appear later in the Phinda entries - obviously they were good pals.
