Comment:   Subspecie S a nanus - Syncerus caffer nanus - Forest Buffalo - Congo Buffalo. Thickness of horns vary: Kingdon, page 504: "...small, back-swept horns..." as well as "...rapid evolution of enormous horn bosses."
