Comment:   Good chance this is Nycteris thebaica - Egyptian Slit-faced bat, as it is the only species recorded in the Nycteridae family in the Western Cape, however it is exceptionally difficult to be concise here on the basis that one needs to take several measurements of these bats, and also look at the inner tragus shape and number of grooves on the incisors for positive ID.
