Notes:   We caught up with a Black-headed Heron crossing the road after having speared this Black Rat, it tried to get away from us but got stuck in front of some tall bushes long enough to take some pictures of it. It manouvered its quarry onto position and swallowed it whole without flinching and once swallowed, it took off and flew beautifully with it, in its crop
