Notes:   The whale was first seen by marine tour operators on 04 May 2013. ID was confirmed on 12 May 2013. The animal has been present at Pelican Point for +- 10 days. surfaces and blows 3 - 5 times in quick succession then submerges for +- 5 min. Shows only top of head and back during surfacing. Pigmentation, shape of head and blow holes, lack of dorsal fin with prominent knuckles on back point towards Gray Whale. Peter Best has confirmed ID.
