In South Africa, this species is known only from the Northern Cape. It is also widespread in Namibia and occurs in Botswana. It is easily confused with other species of Melambrotus, but can be distinguished by the markings beyond the pterostigma and the shape of the angular projection at the base of the forewing. Nothing is known of its larval stages. |
