Comment:   This threadwing species is common and widespread in the Cedarberg area of the Western Cape, with type locality the Stadsaal caves. There is one record from Ais Ais in Namibia. The larvae live in dust and detritus under rock overhangs. They have an extremely elongated prothorax, and actively hunt their prey on the sand surface.
