This is a species of Cueta, but not possible to distinguish from photo. Cueta species are all very similar and can often only be distinguished by genitalic dissections. They are all almost indistinguishable in the larval stage, all characterized by the pink colour. Pits are always built in the open in direct sun. During the heat of the day, they burrow downwards, but are nonetheless able to withstand very high temperatures. |
