Comment:   Italochrysa turneri is confined to the drier regions of north western South Africa, and Namibia. Most recorfd to date are from Namibia. It is a smallish species, which is rarely encountered, so a nice record for South Africa. Nothing is known of its biology, but it is probably ant-associated.
