Notes:   Dickson's Strandveld Copper (Chrysoritis dicksoni) was photographed near Pella Mission Station, its last know habitat on the West Coast, where it is now believed to have become extinct. The butterfly does however still exist near Vermaaklikheid on the Cape South Coast. The larvae of this butterfly are closely associated with the carton nest building Coctail Ant, Crematogaster peringuyi.
