Comment:   O. niloticus are in the Limpopo River system (Limpopo and lower Luvuvhu), however no connection between the Letaba and Limpopo are possible due to the Massingir Dam. If this is indeed a O. niloticus, it was released in this area on purpose. Stripes on the caudal fin resembles that of this invader.

Comment:   I disagree, those are not really bars but rather the spots that are present in-between the caudal rays in pure mossambicus, usually only seen in larger specimens like this.
