This poor creature is an owlfly, possibly Disparomitus transvaaliensis - pity this mishap has befallen it!. This species is fairly widespread in the northern areas of SA: Gauteng, Limpopo, KNZ, North West, Mpumalanga. Extends to Malawi Nothing id known about its biology or immature stages., Swaziland, Zimbabwe. |
