Equus quagga boehmi - Grant's Zebra - more inclined to go for this subspecie looking at the images there are shadow stripes present on the lower thigh, this would be completely absent in E. q. crawshaii. The tricky thing is the split of these subspecies is difficult in Zambia, especially with this locality as the Luangwa River is the boundary, west of the river is E. q. boehmi, and East leading into Malawi is E. q. crawshaii. |
