I estimate the bird to have been over 50cm, and looks to be immature.
For this time of year, should only be a Jackal Buzzard, although it would be a rare sighting here.
Other options mooted are Common Steppe Buzzard or Honey Buzzard, but the time of year should rule these out!
The last picture shows white underparts of wing with dark base and plain white tail, and no barring evident. |
