The red eye, white spots on wings and green bars seen under the wing on the flanks are distinctive for Diederik Cuckoo. Klaas' cuckoo has a white spot behind the eye (not a full eyebrow as in the images) and green wings with no white spots as well as uniformly white underparts. Klaas' cuckoo also has a dark eye with a pale green eye ring. |
