Comment:   Comment from observer: "Although I had originally suggested it was Cape Spurfowl, this I realise was also incorrect. I was careless in this respect. The Spurfowl ID was given by someone else who visited here and I simply didn’t double-check. To cut a long story short, we listened to the francolin calls from Sappi Birds of South Africa by Kidson & van Niekerk. There is absolutely no doubt that this bird’s call (which we see and hear almost daily) is that of the Grey-winged Francolin."
