Comment:   This is possibly Chrysemosa jeanelli, but cannot be sure. This species is common and widespread in southern Africa and is readily attracted to light. Its larvae are elongate with sharply-pointed sickle-shaped jaws that inserted into prey. They are free-living on plants where they prey on aphids and other small soft-bodied prey-species.
