Comment:   This is the larva of a species of Palpares, but unfortunately not possible to determine to species as this particular larval type has not been seen before. Palpares are among the largest antlions and their large predatory larvae are an important part of the invertebrate predator guild. These larvae can be reared, but it may take up to two years to get one through.
