Comment:   This species is recognizable by the long antennae and pale prothorax. It is very widespread in southern and central Africa, recorded from DRC, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In SA, known from Limpopo, Mpumalanga and North West provinces. It is an exquisite, delicate species which, although widespread, is very uncommon – as are all Cymothales species. Nothing is known of its immature stages, but as is usual for this genus they probably inhabit debris in tree holes or rock ledges.
