By:   Mervyn Mansell
Comment:   An undescribed species of Cueta that is common and widespread in the drier western parts of SA, Botswana and Namibia. Sometimes comes to light in large numbers. Distinguished from other Cueta species by the characteristic wing markings. All Cueta larvae are very similar and characterized by the pink colour. Pits are always built in the open in direct sun. During the heat of the day, they burrow downwards, but are nonetheless able to withstand very high temperatures.
