Comment:   This species is fairly common and widespread in the drier western parts of SA. Also known from Namibia and a few records from Botswana. The males are very characteristic because of their elongated ectoprocts (claspers). Not much is known of its biology, except that the larvae are thought to live in deep soil. This is a very gravid female.
