Comment:   This beautiful antlion is fairly common and widespread in the driers of western South Africa, extending into Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. Wing marking can vary considerably. Larvae are unknown. Readily attracted to light. interesting record as it is fairly far south of its normal range.
