OdonataMAP:   57490
Province:   Western Cape
Country:   South Africa
Locus:   3219CC
Observer:   du Toit Corrie
Date of record:   2018-10-13
Number of photos:   1
Notes:   The photo is not clear at all,but I watched this dragonfly patrolling up and down a patch of water and road where the road crosses a small mountain stream - in typical low-flying style of a Friendly hawker. It passed very close to my feet several times. The abdomen was long, thin and brownish, and the wings had the definite amber wash of a female FH. The unfocussed photo shows the dragonfly and its shadow on the white road.
