Odonata Atlas of Africa

Record details

   [ Record 2 of 1483 ]
OdonataMAP:   118
Province:   Mpumalanga
Country:   South Africa
Locus:   2530BD
Observer:   Butchart Duncan
Date of record:   2010-09-17
Number of photos:   1
Notes:   No record for this species in Nelspruit in either Samways (2008) or Tarboton (2002). Also of interest: Samways states that this species is only to be found between December and April. This female seemed \'well worn\' . . . but may have been a result of repeated wing-bashing as it was found and captured in my glass-windowed studio - before being released and flying off strongly.
