Comment:   The image is correct for D. praecox (the nearly entire lip is diagnostic). This however means there must be a mistake in the recording data. A. D.praecox is an endemic on the Nyika Plateau in montane grassland and is not found in the Viphya/Luwawa area where the record is located. B. It also is one of the few dry season pyrophytic species and flowers in August-September and certainly NOT in January. C. The habitat where this was found (see also other records from this date and place) is wet grassland. This is not at all the habitat for D. praecox. D. The copyright logo states 2014 while the record date says 2011. I have contacted the recorder/Photographer to help clear this up and will report back when I know more, greetings Bart

Comment:   Comms with Gary Brown (August 2019) confirmed this record is indeed incorrect. The correct record details are with record 49. This record should be deleted.
