Record details

   [ Record 5 of 449 ]
LepiMAP:   12232
Province:   Eastern Cape
Country:   South Africa
Locus:   3326BC
Observer:   Galpin M.D. & Galpin E.J.
Date of record:   2010-03-26
Number of photos:   3
Notes:   I happened upon about 10-15 of these Forest Beauties feeding on plant sap oozing from a Rhoicissus tomentosa vine. Also feeding on this were Common Bush Browns and one of what I tentatively ID'd as a Forest King Emperor. Photo's are of different individuals and one of some of them feeding off the vine. A truly memorable experience.
