Comment:   Distribution suggests B. adspersus, but habitat and colouration suggests B. mossambicus. Perhaps referable to the eastern escarpment Breviceps 'mossambicus'.

Comment:   I'm not going to comment with an ID, but Les Minter also thinks B.adspersus. My argument against it is very much based on habitat (2000m a.s.l and grassland), whereas B.adspersus is more of a lower woodland/savannah species. We will need the call to confirm the ID.

Comment:   Seeing as there is uncertainty I've confirmed Darrens sp. ID... Btw I think one needs the back foot for an ID... the hand does not help much here...

Comment:   Probably an undescribed species in the Breviceps mossambicus complex. I agree with Andre's comment that habitat and elevation rule out B. adspersus.
