Notes:   Elephant crossing the Chobe River from the north bank (Namibia) to the south bank (Botswana). The Botswana bank is protected as the Chobe National Park, but the Namibian shore is unprotected farmland in the Caprivi Strip. This means that many kinds of animals are at risk every time they cross to the north shore, which they do frequently.
