Comment:   In South Africa this species is largely confined to the coastal areas of KZN. It extends further north through Mozambique to Kenya - also known from Inhaca Island. It is part of the South African fauna that extends southwards along the eastern tropical corridor along the Indian Ocean Coastal belt biome. The pink larvae (indistinguishable from other Cueta species) build pitfall traps in unsheltered situations.
